Skin Care Basics Step 3: Moisturizing

Most beauty professionals agree that moisturizing is important for skin’s health and elasticity. However there is an opinion that oily/normal skin does not need moisturizing as it is naturally moisturized due to high sebum content. We disagree. Choose a moisturizer according to your skin type/ skin condition and your skin will always benefit from it.

There are several types of moisturizers: emulsion based (water and oil based), occlusive (create a film on the skin surface to retain moisture), oil-free (based on humectants that trap and hold water), and combined types that achieve long lasting effect. Read more here
Apply moisturizer immediately after cleansing procedure. Do it in upwards outwards movements slightly massaging the skin finishing up by lightly tapping on the skin with your finger tips – it helps the moisturizer to absorb and improves the skin blood circulation.
