1. rinse it off with water, gently pad with a towel leaving skin a bit moist
2. use a tissue to wipe off the cleanser and do not use water to rinse off your cleanser as it can contain chlorine and in many cases is too hard for the skin. It is recommended to follow up with a toning procedure to remove the traces of the cleanser and balance your skin.
However some brands like Clarins came up with just one-step cleansing prcedure for those who do not like to use water to cleanse their skin: Clarins Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser.
Our opinion is that you should try both approaches and choose the preferable one for you. However one thing for sure you should avoid using hot or cold water, instead use lukewarm water. Also it is recommended to use gentle cleansers with no harsh components like sodium lauryl sulfate, soap and alcohol.
